PICNIK

PICNIK is a tool of the web 2.0,

in which basiclly you can create or modify your pictures or photographs.

It has a lot of options to modify your pictures.

To create or modify your pictures or photos...

you can choose between the next options that PICNIK offers you:

  1. Change the color.


  2. Change the size of your photo.


  3. Take out the red eyes.


  4. Add sticks; such us: Flower, stars, faces, etc...


  5. Add text.


  6. Give contrast, shine, color...

These are just some of the options that you can choose in PICNIK;

However; to use the best options, you have to pay, jaja =D.

Well this is a summary about PICNIK.

Distance Learning


Well...

we saw many intereating things about this topic,

however with the reading provided by the teacher

we could know more about this things from a very analitic point of view,

to begining with this;

we could make our own definition of distance learning,

basicly D.L is a "a form of education in which there is normally a separation between teacher and learner;

then we learn about who use and need this type of education,

Finally, we learn a little bilt about the tools that make possible the Distance learning,

we can underline the importance of the computer in this age...

to make possible education learning;

however we can use others tools like: the telephone or the correspondece course.

Read about this topic result very intresting; however there were a lot of exercises teacher =). Thats all.

user did not need to know complicated codes to upload content to the web.



They just need a click =).



It is not just text... 2 sides can mash data together...



every one are participants of the organization and creation of it.

SOCIAL BOOKMARKING



  • Definition and Characteristics:


  1. Social bookmarking allows users to share, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web resources.

  2. Descriptions may be added to these bookmarks, so that other users may understand the content of the resource without first needing to download it for themselves.

  3. Such descriptions may be free text comments, votes in favor of or against its quality, or tags.

  4. Tags: Actually are keywords to shared content"

  5. In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share.

  6. These bookmarks are usually public, and can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups.

  7. Most social bookmark services encourage users to organize their bookmarks with informal tags.

  8. They also enable viewing bookmarks associated with a chosen tag, and include information about the number of users who have bookmarked them.

  9. As these services have matured and grown more popular, they have added extra features such as ratings and comments on bookmarks.

  • Delicious helped us a lot to find useful web pages and applications for our project (web quest). It also helped us to organize these pages.


THE DEFINITION IS BELLOW (what I understood):



  • It is a social bookmarking web service for storing, sharing and discovery web bookmarks.



  • Delicious is one of the most popular social bookmarking services.



  • The use of delicious is free.



  • Delicious has on its home page the most popular and recent pages.



  • It also displays all of the most recent links tagged (wiki).



  • Although user can mark specific bookmarks as private, all these posted in Delicious are

viewable.

SOCIAL NETWORKS



This reflection is about the videos that I saw related with SOCIAL NETWORKS.




Networks make possible having electricity in our houses or sending a letter,


but social network make possible to find friends, to meet new people, or to find a job even a house;


to belong to a social network, you have to enter to some pages like the next ones: Facebook, my space etc...


then you should follow the next steps:




  1. You creat a count (Sign up now)


  2. You give information about you (Tell us about you)


  3. You look for people you know


When you find someone you should...




  • Click in ADD as friend.


If the person accept you, he/she become your contact; and you become a member of your social network




  • Both have a connection on the web site


You can see your friends, and the friends of your friends, creating a huge network connection




The second video compare the social network with the story of a little town called: Scoopville, this place was famous because the ice cream, first only the factory could cooked ice cream, the people started to get bored with the same flavors, so the factory decided to gave the chance to citizens to create new flavors, as a result a lot of different flavors were created, people started to share them, one day a citizen decided to put a board where people could grade and comment about his ice cream, in this way people could see the grades and the comments as well, a lot of people decided to do the same, this means: bring people together(a social network is done by people for people).


As the different ice cream´flavors you can decide between create a blog, a postcast or video shares. You can grade them and comment them as well.

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNS

  1. Last class we saw what instruccional model is:
  • it is a structured, sistematic, and planned process that serves to design materials,




and to give classes online (no presential or pseupresential)


  • Technology plays an important role, because it helps students to imporove their learning process.




  1. We also saw that the designer is the one who provides help to teacher, or even the same teacher.


  • This is in charge of the strategies that will be used and the methodologies as well.




  1. We also saw some types of models, such as:


  • Gogne Model, Addie Model, and Dick and Carey Model.

NTICS AND PLATFORM


Well, last class our topic was: TICS (Electric blackboard, I-phone, web 2.0),





we also saw what is an educative platform: virtual space that teacher could use as an aid for his/her schoolar course.





also some examples of educative platform ( frees: moddle and of cost: blackboard),





and the impact of these on education (portfolio and platform), and society (celphone, I-phone, etc.).








And the role of that the teacher should take to implement this new technology to his/her plan (collaborative, guide, and creative etc...)





And the role of the student as well (active and autonomous).





  • The class was iteresting, but I don´t like TICS, as a teacher; I prefer the old way to teach =S.

GOOGLE SITES


Mmm...well I really enjoy creating this space...

because I always had wanted to have my own space on web...

however I had no idea about how I could do it...

well...now I saw that it isn´t so diffculut as I thougth...


In conclusion...


for me was a good experience to create this page...because I will edite it with more things and maybe I will add other...

I can even create other page with the things that I like...

and taking me the enough time to create it with my own style (really nice)=).
